The Board of Directors of Avillion Berhad (“Avillion” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that Vacationland Tours (H.K.) Limited ("VTHK"), a dormant wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company has on 20 August 2018 submitted a deregistration application to the Companies Registry of Hong Kong pursuant to Section 751 of the Companies Ordinance(Cap. 622) of Hong Kong. 

The Company had on today received the notification that VTHK had been struck off from the Companies Registry of Hong Kong on 4 January 2019 under Gazette Notice No. 73 pursuant to Section 751 of the Companies Ordinance(Cap. 622) of Hong Kong.

The rationale of the striking off is VTHK has no intention to activate its business in the future. The strike off is in the best interest of the Company as it will reduce the administration cost incurred for maintaining VTHK.

As VTHK is not a major subsidiary of the Company, the striking off of VTHK will not have any material impact on the earnings and net assets per share of the Company for the financial year ending 31 March 2019.
